Biography

I'm a stock analyst for Gabelli & Co. (http://www.gabelli.com) , an investment firm, responsible for the heavy equipment, automotive and truck industries.

In May 2004, I received my MBA from The Wharton School (the University of Pennsylvania's business school) with a concentration in Finance. At Wharton, I co-managed a small cap value portfolio for the endowment and organize a speaker series for our Investment Management club. Between 1st and 2nd years, I spent my summer internship at American Century, an $80 billion mutual fund family headquartered in Kansas City, MO. While all this was fun, the most exciting activity - and far greatest challenge - was trying to learn to play ice hockey having never truly ice skated before.

Prior to Wharton, I worked in venture capital with SoundView Ventures - Dawntreader Funds. SoundView Ventures is a $290 million, early-stage IT (mostly software) venture fund. The firm is very active with its portfolio companies, as a result, I was a board observer with 4 portfolio companies - netForensics, Metapa, Covigna and HNW.

Before my venture capital career, I worked in management consulting focusing on corporate strategy in the financial services, telecommunications, medical products and automotive industries. I spent two years in the Strategy Practice at what was then Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and one year at the now defunct US Web.

I entered management consulting after graduating from Duke University in 1997 with a degree in History. Born and raised in New York City, I have lived in Durham NC, Atlanta GA, Kansas City MO and Sydney, Australia.
